Back trouble

What modifications do you recommend for people with lower back pain?  I'm hoping to strengthen and improve my lower back, but I am unsure of which exercises to focus on, and which ones to avoid.

back problems

I let this get away from me sorry me it took me so long to respond. It depends on where your back is in pain and is it structural or  muscular. Posture is definalty important if you go to my posture column in the fitness forum section of the site. This is the leading cause to back troubles. If you have servere back trouble definalty exercise with support on your back like a chair or bench or laying down on a floor. You should get a trainer who is good in this area to show you proper technique so you dont injure yourself more. We have such trainers here.
